Countdown: 10 Days Until the Homeless World Cup in Paris

The world outside my window is dark now. The rain pours down. The news on television is negative, negative, negative and negative.

Tomorrow morning the outlook for the world will be gloomy. The television will tell us all about the dark and the future dark. Poverty is increasing, homelessness is increasing and the gap between the rich and poor is growing.

But in 10 days time in the very centre of one of world's most famous cities called Paris, a very bright light will shine.

Today, really important ambassadors are begining to get ready to make the journey from all over the world to represent their country in an authentic football competition which will take place in the centre of Paris. All of these ambassadors are homeless and marginalised but they will stand proud and show the world the true side of human spirit in just 10 days time. They are amazing people and together they will create a very bright light.

Are you watching world? You should watch. These people will show you another path. Follow it and more lights will be turned on across the world.

And then the news won't be negative, negative, negative and more negative again.
